Although Android tablets have grown less widespread in recent years, this hasn't stopped certain manufacturers from making them. Lenovo, for example, has just introduced the second iteration of their Android tablet range, the Smart Tab M10.
The Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen features a 10.1-inch HD display, 32GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card for expansion, 2GB of RAM, Android 10, and up to 8 hours of movie playback. Continue reading to find out how the tablet fared in our complete review.
One feature that distinguishes the Tab M10 HD from other tablets is its rectangular shape. While the bezels on the front are more significant than you might be used to on other smartphones, they don't get in the way during use. After you've become acclimated to the tablet, they're easy to overlook. The tablet also features a front-facing camera for individuals who wish to utilize Google Duo and video calls with family or friends.
The tablet features a textured power/standby button on the right side along with the volume rocker. A USB Type-C connector for charging the tablet and one speaker are located on the bottom. The second speaker, as well as a 3.5mm audio connector, are placed on the top. Finally, on the tablet's left long edge are connecting plates that allow you to utilize the tablet as a media device with the accompanying dock.
On the Tab M10, Lenovo has chosen a 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 800) IPS LCD. The display is adequate, with a resolution of just over 720p. At the very least, Colors such as reds, blues, and greens, on the other hand, are rather lovely. The blacks are dark enough, although there is a slight grey tint to them at times. On the other hand, white and lighter hues shone brightly.
You'll notice the extra vibrancy in colors if you plan on playing some games. Videos on YouTube or any other video streaming site appeared fine, but they were also a touch uninteresting. You may notice some pixels with the tablet's lower resolution (given the screen size) when viewing movies or merely sitting on the main home screen if you're used to screens with FHD+, and QHD resolution.
The Smart Tab M10 2nd Gen Android tablet features an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22T Tab SoC, 2GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, this means you'll receive a mid-range processor, low-level RAM, and adequate storage that can be increased with a MicroSD card.
The Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen Android tablet is perhaps best suited for youngsters who want to play games and watch movies or for someone who wants an entry-level tablet for simple chores before graduating to something more powerful.
When it comes to battery life, the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen features a 5,000mAh battery, which is adequate. If you're using this as an entertainment device, heavy use may drain the battery faster. Throughout the day, browsing the web and playing a few games will give you a little more time before you need to charge the tablet.
