Apple's Main Event: Key Highlights Of The Event (Oct 13, 2020)


The highly anticipated event for the technology geeks around the world of the tech giant Apple unfolded yesterday. People were all excited about this event particularly because of anticipation of introduction of Apple’s latest smartphone iPhone 12 with 5G capabilities which now embarks beginning of the journey of the company with their next generation of powerful smartphones.

Apple unraveled their event last night through the online streaming worldwide. Specifically because of the recent pandemic most of the tech events like this are happening on the streaming services, keeping in mind the health and safety of the people. Apple rolled out their event just like they did on September via online live stream globally. Millions of the people from all round the world joined Apple live session event to witness the powerful and latest products that they have to offer to the world.

Apple launched last night not one, nor two but 4 different new iPhone 12 smartphones as part of their 2020 series and also introduced their new compact Smartspeaker named as HomePod mini. Apple’s chief Tim Cook himself kicked off the last night event by first introducing their Smartspeaker “HomePod mini”

HomePod mini:  This latest Apple’s Smartspeaker named HomePod mini is a small version of Apple’s previous HomePod. It is designed like a round globe and is about 3.3 inches in height. Similar to the original speaker, the HomePod Mini is included with smart assistant Siri and has its own built-in privacy and security features. The company has introduced in a new Intercom feature on this Smartspeaker that allows its user to send or receive an Intercom message from one HomePod to another one. The speaker comes with two different colors white and space grey.

iPhone 12: The iPhone 12 series is actually a reminder of the Apple’s classic iPhone 4 with flat edges and a boxier design, which people are still in love with that design. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 minis are designed with 5G technology enabled & are packed with the Apple’s latest and powerful A14 Bionic chip. The iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch display meanwhile the iPhone 12 mini comes with a 5.4-inch screen. Both models have a sleek new flat-edge style with an aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure and shared with the Ceramic Shield front cover. Both phones come with a new dual-camera & now also support MagSafe’s wireless charging technology. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will come in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models in black, green, red and blue in color.

Apple’s pro version in the iPhone 12 series comes with 6.1-inch screen and iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch display. These pro versions also come with their new A14 Bionic chip along with the new boxier design with Ceramic Shield and a professional camera set. Apple’s pro versions will be available in 4 stainless steel finishes, together with silver, gold, graphite & pacific blue in color. The company is endorsing their latest camera system in the phone as one of top features on the device. The iPhone 12 Pro supports the latest Apple ProRAW feature that uses image processing and computational photography of a RAW format.

Apart from these introduction of Apple’s latest products. The company has made some other announcements as well last night during the event. From this year onward Apple is removing their charger & EarPods from iPhone packaging. According to the Apple, the company is doing this to lessen carbon emissions and also allow them to have a smaller and lighter packaging; this means that any accessories that you want; now have to be bought separately. Now USB-C to lightning cable will only be included in the box.
